As artists, we know how to procrastinate! Now, I have been told that there are many prolific and organized artistic people out there but I personally do not know a single one!
Your Arts Program, Inc. recognizes this and has many FREE groups for you to attend. The groups are discipline specific but do not require mandatory attendance. What the groups do is provide support, encouragement and suggestions. Kind of like therapy – while doing something you love! All levels of ability are welcome!! After all, the less we know the more we are able to learn!

Writer’s Group
Our Writer’s Group meets the second Tuesday of each month. The group meets from 6:30 – 8:30. If you love to write poetry, novels or prose, we have a seat for you! Our group has been meeting on a regular basis and each of the participants are working toward their writing goals with great fervor. We look forward to you joining us!
Monthly Jam Session
Date change – In order to offer art shows to the public our jam session will meet on the second Friday of every month. Everyone who has attended to date can’t get enough our jam sessions! Bring your instruments, your voice or just your appreciation! Enjoy the music of the many musicians that grace our north woods! Tess will be on the fiddle, Josh on the drums, Bob on . . . and you! 7:00 p m – ??
Your Stage!
NEW in January, 2011- Come one, come all and join us in putting on a show to remember! We will be doing plays and skits in the community and at the center, with shows to be determined throughout the year. We need both “front of the house” people as well as “stage hands”, so please come help us build our own Community Theater! We are currently making plans for our next murder mystery event.

The workshops take place at Your Arts Program, Inc which located at 678 Highway 51, the driveway that goes back to the art center is just a bit south of the wayside that is on the Manitowish River between Mercer and Manitowish Waters. There is a sandwich board sign marking th turn and then signs that direct you to the center. Stop in sometime and browse our gift shop which features fun, funky and functional art created by area artists! I will add you to our email list! Have a great day!
Workshops are held at Your Arts Program, Inc which is located at 678 Hwy 51, behind Hitch Exclusives – they sell furniture in front of their house/shop. We are roughly 2.5 miles south of Hwy 47/182 and 3.5 miles north of Hwy W.
